April 2020

Pandemic radio was launched as GoBU’s first radio show back in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. The weekly live broadcast brought in around 400 views per week via Facebook Live. We hosted a new special guest each week, and we discussed everything from fatherhood, toxic relationships and prison reform, to how the COVID-19 virus affected all of us but specifically the special needs community. GoBU’s goal was to uplift, motivate and educate our listeners with Kingdom centered entertainment during a time when many people were adjusting to lockdowns and being forced to stay at home. The show ran from April to August, and our hope is to one day bring back "pandemic radio", but in a new format. Be on the lookout, follow us on Instagram (@GoBU.tv), download our GoBU.tv app, and visit our website at www.gobu.tv. where you can subscribe to receive our newsletter.

This weekly 30 minute show features a poet each episode, and highlights their poetry and the inspiration behind one of their pieces. It's a deep dive into not only the person behind the pen but also the purpose of their prose. You can catch Royal Rhymes on Thursdays at 4pm CT and the rebroadcast on Sundays at 6pm CT exclusively on our GoBU.tv app. The app is free but the content is priceless! February 2021

GoBU launched its first social media giveaway campaign called “Love Everybody.”

The purpose of this campaign was to encourage our local community, and people around the globe to love everyone the way Christ loves us. The campaign consisted of GoBU’s on-air announcers teaching the 4 different biblical loves, as well as interviews with Christian Hip Hop influencers sharing about their experience with loving intentionally. To top it off, we also had weekly giveaways on Instagram Live for audience members taking steps towards loving others better. This campaign increased GoBU's radio app listenership, and it helped to connect GoBU with local businesses to be involved in future Kingdom work. This was GoBU’s first digital giveaway campaign, but it certainly will not be our last.
